On April 22nd of this year, which is World Earth Day, Hong Kong's "2023 Product Environmental Responsibility (Amendment) Bill", also known as the "Plastic Ban Order," officially came into effect. The first phase of control will be implemented throughout Hong Kong, including the disposal of plastic tableware and other plastic products.

Against this backdrop, the Hong Kong Federation of Industries and Hang Seng University jointly hosted the "Bamboo and Sustainable Development (Promoting Bamboo as Plastic) Exchange Conference" on the 22nd of this month.
